My Newer Outpost

Before I posted a picture of my new outpost, Cyberpost Alpha. This is how it's doing right now

And this is my new outpost (cleaned up a little after a few battles...)

You may have noticed that I chose all food outposts. I want food outposts so in the future, my army will be especially strong with 2 food outposts.

Oh yeah... the name of my new outpost is... Cyberpost Beta

Beginning to see the trend?

The History of International 1 (Part 2)

The following is by DillonCail, not Cyberstorm. You can find the full post here
Part 1

The Heilige Allianz was a very strong alliance as I was progressing through the game. PanosKanos was their leader and very well-respected by his members. Eventually PanosKnows would join with Royalty as Royalty Knights. Royalty changed shortly after to STEEL and PanosKanos followed with his teams. The Heilige Allianz, I would say, ended with the departure of PanosKanos and his teams, though some remnants of inactive players and divisions remained for quite some time. I believe Heilige Allianz at its peak had 17 or 18 divisions. PanosKanos had a could not agree with Habdo (one of the leaders of STEEL) and broke off with his divisions to form a new alliance. I can’t remember exactly what he named it initially but within a day, they had changed their named to Bad Boys. In any event, the Heilige Allianz pretty much was retired when PanosKanos and company left.

Bad Boys: PanosKanos immediately sought a pact with Sparta upon creating Bad Boys (I accepted) and Bad Boys grew at a very rapid pace, enticing other players with much more freedom to attack outside of war. Bad Boys in the early stages spent much time trying to recruit strong players in strong alliances to come to Bad Boys. Bad Boys is considered by many to be one of the more aggressive alliances in the game. As Bad Boys gained power, they began attacking smaller alliances. As written above, BB declared war on STEEL at one point. They were initially losing. After forming the Hells Boys coalition, they eventually won the war and BB went on to have continued success in the game. Bad Boys has been involved in every big war since, and has neither won nor lost in this new age of wars where the general perception is that both sides can only lose. PanosKanos was leader of BB, but also when creating BB he also made Coolvag and Trex600pro leaders alongside him. Though their leaders and myself were seemingly always on opposite sides and with opposite perspectives, these 3 always maintained a fine level of respect and courtesy with me.

The History of International 1 (Part 1)

The text below is by Dillon Cail, not Cyberstorm. You can find the full post here.
Part 2

"Hello GGE players  My name is Dillon Cail and I played in the International 1 server as DillonCail from late December, 2011 to late February, 2013 (a little over a year). I led the Sparta alliance for much of my time in the game and most importantly, I got to know many great people from my experiences in the game. A player asked if I could write about the history of Sparta, and I said if I ever got a free minute I would. I am going to do the best I can to describe everything I can remember from when I first joined to a couple of months after I left. Some information will be incomplete or missing, but at least it should be accurate for any who are interested. If you have any questions or any information to add, go ahead and e-mail me at DillonCail@hotmail.com. Some of this history here will pertain to Sparta, but I plan to write my experiences in the game and including Sparta in a separate article. Anyway, here goes…

When I first joined this game, the maximum level was 39. Many players had already reached this level and their castles were completed. Outposts already existed when I joined the game and the most powerful alliance in the game seemed to be Royalty, though Invictus Prime and Die Orkbande were also very powerful (though Die Orkbande was on the decline). I would like to go through what I know of the history of each alliance one by one.

Defense #4

These attacks were from the same player. I won the first one, but he attacked again and I lost. He killed my marauders:(!

My New Outpost

I finally got my own outpost! For those who know nothing about outposts, I will be posting later on outposts in general. I captured a food/stone outpost from a player, and I easily won, and now my outpost will be helping me expand my army. My outpost is pretty weak right now, but I am planning to improve it considerably. This outpost is going to be a major military base, as it can support 2 times the amount of soldiers my main base can. I will be attempting to capture food outposts only, to get a powerful army.

I have decided to name the outpost:

Cyberpost Alpha

The Colossus

The Colossus is an event where you donate resources to get an epic decoration item. The more resources you donate, the more public order it gives!

Defense #2-3

I got attacked again!

The attacker sent in only 22 warriors, which were crushed by my 60. Sheer numbers work well for both attack and defense in the beginning.

Unfortunately, my next defense was a defeat. The attacker crushed me even though I had much more troops, which goes to show that getting lots of marauders is not a good idea. Many really good troops, such as marauders, are not very good at defense.

The Shady Character

The Shady Character is an event that can appear outside your main castle

Description: The Shady Character will ask you to attack someone, and will give you a reward if you have a successful raid against the player within the time-slot. The reward for me is 100 rubies and 3,000 coins. You can also pick a different target for rubies. When you defeat the player you were asked to attack, another target will be given.

My Castle Looks Cool!

Have you ever noticed that some castles look different on the world map? That's because they have a higher level keep, wall, or towers. The more upgraded your keep, wall, towers, and gate are, the different your castles look.

This is my castle.

You can see that the outpost right next to me looks different (other than the fact that it's an outpost), and that's because the walls, keep, towers, and gate are more upgraded than mine.

Just a simple way of checking the strength of castles without having to look too closely.

Attack #1-3

I got some quests that require me to attack players, so I am using my force of 70 odd soldiers to go raiding. The pictures below show some of the results of my raids. I attacked players around my level (levels 8-15)

The one above was an easy win on a level 13. Very few troops in his defence, but hundreds of tools.
Tip: No matter how many defense tools are in one slot, only one tool is used per wave. It doesn't matter if there are 10 tools in one slot, or 10,000,000, the effect is the same.

My first defense

Today was my first chance to test out my defences.

A level 10 player attacked me, so I wasn't expecting to lose so many troops!

You can see the battle report here:

Level 11

I recently reached level 11

Level 11 gives a major boost for defense, as you unlock walls, castle gate, and tower level 2. You also unlock keep level 2, town house, stonemason, and the mill.

Level 2 Walls increases the amount of defensive items you can place onto the wall, and the wall defensive boost increases.

Level 2 towers increase the number of troops on the wall.

Level 2 Castle Gate increases the amount of tools you can place onto the center flank, and boosts the castle gate defensive boost.

Level 2 Keep increases the construction speed in your castle from 100% to 125%.

Week 1: Dwelling Mechanics

This week, I am focusing on upgrading my dwellings to level 3 to complete a quest and get to level 11

What dwellings do is that they increase the population. The more population you have, the more money you get from taxes. The more money you get from taxes, the more troops you can train.

Sadly, when I upgrade my dwellings, I lose more food. As you may have noticed, my food bar is red, which means that I am losing more food than I am producing. As I upgrade my dwellings, it will decrease the public order. Public order will either increase or decrease your resource production, and a lower public order will cause a lower resource production.

Hopefully I solve my food problem soon!
